Membership FAQ

You do not have to sign a contract to be a member of the YMCA. Your membership is on a month to month basis and can be cancelled at any time according to the cancellation policy.
All cancellation requests must be in writing. It must be received 5 business days prior to the 1st of the month in order to be effective the following month. You may request your cancellation by completing a Status Change form at the Welcome Center, by faxing your request to 254.751.0974, or by e-mailing the Member Services Director.
You may add or remove a family member by completing the “Upgrade/Downgrade” portion of the Status Change form located at the Welcome Center.
Your membership type can be changed by completing the “Upgrade/Downgrade” portion of the Status Change form located at the Welcome Center. For an upgrade, a one-time upgrade fee will apply.
You may place your membership on hold for up to 3 months one time per year by completing the “Hold” portion of the Status Change form located at the Welcome Center.
Guests who reside more than 50 miles away may accompany you to the YMCA up to 3 times per month at no charge. Local guests may purchase a day pass.
